The Friends of the Horticulture Farm is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and promoting the significant plant collections and natural areas of the UVM Horticultural Research Center in South Burlington, Vermont for education, research, and public enrichment.

"The Science of Soil Health"

     SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 9-12

Speaker Joel Tilley


Joel Tilley, Research Specialist at UVM Agricultural and Environmental Testing Lab will cover basic soil science and how it relates to plant nutrition and soil health; topics will include pH, organic matter, soil texture, how to test soils and interpret test results.

Rodney Eason, Director of Horticulture

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Boothbay, Maine

Date: Wednesday, April 22, 6-8pm

Location: Faith United Methodist Church, 899 Dorset St., South Burlington

Admission is $10 per person at the door. No pre-registration needed. Note that the church will seat 200 but only has 90 parking spaces, please car-pool if possible.
