Farm to Medicine Cabinet
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8, 9-12

Kate Westdijk, Food Systems Research Specialist at UVM, will take you on a tour of medicinal plants on the Hort. Farm, followed by demonstrations of ways to prepare the plants for your family's medicine cabinet.  Recipes included.

Winter Preparation Workshop
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15, 9-12

Spend the morning finding out how to put our Pollinator Garden to bed and get planting beds ready for winter.  Bring your questions, learn best practices.

Herbal Stocking Stuffers
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 9-12

Join Kelley Robie, of Horsetail Herbs, and learn how to make skin care products from Vermont grown herbs. Keep your skin radiant and healthy with your own blend of Beautiful Bath Salts, Mysterious Massage Oils, Aromatic Aroma Misters and Luscious Lotion. Aromatherapy basics will be discussed while we create these amazing natural products.  You’ll go home with recipes, your own hand-made goodies and lots of gift making ideas!  Members $20  Non-members $25  Includes materials cost.

Winter Centerpiece
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 10-12

Make a fresh arrangement for the holiday table with aromatic greens and cuttings, including wine-red dogwood stems, yellow dogwood, winterberry, evergreen holly, rhododendron and fragrant boxwood.  Bring a container of your choice that holds water and a pair of pruners.  Feel free to bring cuttings from your own garden to use.  Class limit is 12. Materials cost included in fee.  Members $30  Non-members $40

The Friends of the Horticulture Farm is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and promoting the significant plant collections and natural areas of the UVM Horticultural Research Center in South Burlington, Vermont for education, research, and public enrichment.
